We would definitely recommend Bill Dawson as a builder. After looking for over a year for a home that would give us space, but wouldn’t require lots of maintenance, we found the perfect home in Marshview Landing. There isn’t another community in our area like it. We purchased a model that Bill Dawson had built and was showing in July 09. We were immediately drawn to the functional layout and the great details in the house. The kitchen had lots of counter space and cabinets. We loved the granite counter top and the fixtures. The entire home is great quality and built to last. Bill has been great about responding to our questions and needs as we settled in. If you are looking for a reasonably priced, quality home, we highly recommend Bill Dawson to you!

It’s hard to believe that a year has almost gone by since the fundraiser held for Gregory which allowed us to add the accessible addition to our home. Little did we know that while touring the YMCA Dream House we would find our builder!
You responded to our inquiry the very next day and were on site to check our plans the day after that. Your timeliness and attention was impressive. Your quote for the job was right in line with our budget. All of these things put you as the front runner for our contractor. Prehaps what got you the job was the fact that you also acknowledged our children whenever you were here. You introduced Greg to all the tradesmen that came to look over the build. “He is the reason we’re doing this”. That inpressed us – you were the only contractor to do so! And anyone that acknowledges Greg always has my heart!
We set up our Christmas tree in Greg’s room, since it was a huge gift from so many people. After the holidays, we moved Greg into the room. It was a big adjustment for us not having him right down the hallway. I am happy to report that he seems to love it and Tom and I are so thankful.

After experiencing a last minute appraisal complication, that left us unable to move forward with another local, well-known builder, by husband and I felt pretty disheartened by the whole building process. Nevertheless, we went back to the drawing board and began interviewing new, prospective builders. After doing our homework, we found ourselves in the office of WR Dawson. After our first visit with Bill and Megan Dawson, we both knew we had found our builder. Not only did they both work endlessly with us, as we tried to find the floorplan of our dreams, Megan was able to help secure an appropriate appraisal, so we didn’t experience another last minute loan nightmare. Throughout the entire 4 1/2 month building process, the whole Dawson team was there to guide us through the process of building a home, and they treated us more like family than a client. (I can still remember going to Megan Dawson’s home and holding her adorable son, Brodie, while she helped me pick out stamped concrete stain!) Likewise, the amazing “Rick the builder” (as I liked to call him throughout the building process) was always willing to answer our incessant texts, when we had a question or concern about something going on at our home. He was knowledgeable, professional, and helped to make sure the various trades at our home were working up to par and moving at an appropriate speed. Having now lived in our WR Dawson home for over a year, I must say we continue to be impressed and satisfied with the quality of our home. Our family and friends continue to comment on the beautiful craftsmanship and customization that makes Dawson stand out from other builders, and we look forward to spending many years to come in a place we are proud to call home.
